Coming back to watching a Pink and White movie is like hanging out with an old lover. It’s been a while since I’ve reviewed from this awesome studio, but it feels comfortable and relaxing to settle down for a viewing. They always know just how to press my buttons and make sure I leave the experience with a big smile on my face. Sure, there have been a ton of other amazing queer porn studios on my horizon since the last time we were together, but it doesn’t change how I feel about my old friend. And this rowdy romp with Stella and Cash totally brought me back to that happy place that only CrashPad can. Sigh, memories… now onward to the fucking!
I totally love that the whole butch/top-femme/bottom stereotype is challenged and that Cash gets the pounding of her life with Stella behind the cock. And it’s an even bigger bonus that we get to watch Cash thoroughly suck Stella’s dick. Seriously, I love watching me some strap-on dick sucking! This movie as a whole was awesome and I totally recommend it to anyone that loves some good old fashion queer fucking. Thanks for another fabulous evening, Pink and White. I’ll be back soon.

The plane bumps along, gaining altitude as it climbs in and out of a cruising altitude of thirty-five thousand feet above Los Angeles, the city known as the “Home of Porn”- though that title is more and more frequently being challenged by cities to the north and east of L.A. and even cities in Europe. As I think about that challenge and the new day that is dawning in the porn world, I realize my heart is beating wildly, signaling both excitement and nerves. The plane is literally hopping and I’m struggling to hit the right keys on my laptop and refrain from instinctively gripping the arm of the kind-faced stranger next to me. Behind the overwhelming desire to have this plane find just one smooth patch of air is the deeper buzz: Vegas!
I am on my way to the biggest event of the year for pornography, the Oscars of porn, the ultimate schmoozefest for the industry and porn fans. Where hustlers go to hustle and consumers go to consume with all their senses; The Adult Entertainment Expo and The Adult Video News Awards. Taking place each year in Las Vegas, this will be my second time attending the event, though this time the differences feel striking and the excitement genuine. This time last year, I was fretting over what to wear, worried that I would look too alternative and not “mainstream” sexy enough and was trying to engage with what an AVN worthy image would be. Having just cut my hair, I was self-consciously patting my extensions and figuring out how I would be able to fit in with the bigger, seemingly badder world I was jumping into. Happy New Year’s Eve! Can you believe we are back at December 31st again? Crazy, right? It seems like 2009 flew by here at HM4Her, what with all the awesome changes and exciting additions we’ve had since January. This year brought us an amazing influx of movies, including some of the hottest queer flicks around, as well as some of the best porno parodies we have ever seen and a whole armload of classics that are making their video-on-demand debut!
2009 welcomed our newest team member, the fabulous FrzKey, on board, as well as our awesome behind-the-scenes affiliate managers, Josh and Jessica. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to some of our friends, including HotMoviesForHer creator, Venus Vegas. While we are sad that we no longer get to work with such an awesome lady, we are super excited that she is still in the industry, working with Stockroom.com, and we see her online all the time.

Happy Hanukkah! We’ve been chatting up the festival of lights all week and talking about all the great Jews in porn, but what about the real point to the holiday? The presents, of course! I kid, I kid, but it’s true, we haven’t talked too much about the gifts. In my family, like many Hanukkah celebrating families, we give one present an evening, for each of the eight nights of the holiday.*
That said, we are on the fifth night of Hanukkah and today is the Top Five Tuesday. Coincidence? I think not! Last week we celebrated the nominations for 2010’s Oscars of porn, the AVN Awards. Since then, we’ve been all bouncy and excited for the fine folks that made the list this year, and apparently we are not the only ones. People have been blogging up a storm since the announcement, including the nominees themselves. So, here’s a little insider scoop of the AVN nominations – straight from the horse’s mouth!
Jiz Lee wrote up a delightfully thanks-filled piece about both her nomination for “Best New Web Starlet” and Pink and White’s “Best Video Feature” for Champion: Love Hurts and even included us on the list! *Blush!*
If an explicit film with a plot about a female fighter who faces homophobia/gender discrimination as a major plot-line can make it into the running of what many call “The Oscars” of adult movies — add it it that the majority of the cast and crew are queer/trans & gender-non-conforming/people of color, and that it was produced with less than half the budget of the other videos in this category — then Holy Shit that’s better than Hollywood….
…As a genderqueer I never expected to be listed as a “starlet”. I mean, I’m SO very different than the other new web stars on AVN’s nominations list. Like, I’m the only one packing! But I’ll take this as an opportunity to open any doors in gender and sexuality — whether it’s a cisgender woman who wishes she didn’t have to shave her legs/armpits/lovely asshole to be sexy, or whether it’s a trans or gender-variant perv who thinks there may be a chance at stardom in the mainstream. There is opportunity out there for queer visibility and expanding acceptance at who we are and how we love.

And the votes are in! The 2010 AVN Award nominees have been announced, and this year the picks are better than ever. Basically the Oscars of porn, the AVN Awards honor the best and brightest of porno movie royalty. So, yeah, they are a big freaking deal. This year we are extra excited because so many of our favorite performers are on the list! We are super happy for them and know they all completely deserve the nominations. While many of the folks nominated have had the pleasure of making the list in previous years, I want to make sure to give a special shout out to some HM4Her crushes that are celebrating their first AVN Award nominations this year. Especially the San Francisco queers that are breaking through the mainstream barriers of porn and bringing their insanely sexy gender/sexuality bending action to the masses. This year is the first that AVN is recognizing the work they do as being on par with some of the most well known names in mainstream porn.
So, who am I talking about? Jiz Lee, Dylan Ryan and Pink and White Productions (dir. Shine Louise Houston)! I remember that last year we were excited when queer performer Syd Blakovich walked the AVN red carpet as Madison Young’s date, and now look at us – cheering on these awesome queers for their own nominations! And surprisingly, it’s not for a queer category either. Jiz is up for Best New Web Starlet, Dylan for Best Solo Sex Scene, and Pink and White for their Best Video Feature, “Champion,” which was shot with a mostly queer/trans/gender non-conforming/people of color cast and crew and with a way smaller budget than any other movie in the nomination category. Hot, right? So, congrats to these rad pervs! Who cares who wins… the nod is freaking awesome.

It’s been way too long since I’ve had some hot Crashpad action on my screen, so today I needed to include a little Pink and White Productions on my agenda. And who better to fulfill my dyke porn cravings than the fabulous Dylan Ryan? This queer mama is so awesome that she doesn’t need anyone else taking up her time in front of the camera – this quickie is all her, solo style.
I need to start this by saying how weird it is to see Dylan with long hair in this flick. I’m used to Ryan with closely cropped hair that always seems to emphasis her fierce femme sensibilities. With longer hair Ryan is still super femme, but it totally changes her porn persona for me. That said, to be honest, it feels a little bit like it’s someone else up on the screen. It takes a little bit for her pants to come off, but four and a half minutes seems like such a small price to pay when it comes to watching Ryan squirm and moan all over the bed.
