Toushin, owner of the Bijou Theater, the oldest gay theater and sex club in the U.S, has battled on the behalf of the adult industry for almost 40 years. He’s been arrested 35 times, taken part in five federal trials, and been jailed twice and still continues on. Bijou Video owns the rights to an amazing catalog of classic gay titles, including “Turned On!” This movie features a couple of very beautiful men, Al Parker and Sky Donovan, and it’s a bizarre tale of lust and obsession. After spotting Donovan in a bar, Parker follows him into the bathroom only to find he has disappeared. Fortunately, there is a young, hot blonde who he fucks in a stall, but his mind is still with Donovan. The rest of this classic sends Parker on a dream-like quest for his object of desire. My favorite fantasy element was the gallery of manly-men that includes a cowboy, a construction worker, and the rest of The Village People. The film culminates in an intriguing orgy where every man except Parker is wearing a Sky Donovan mask. The result was dehumanizing, but spellbinding for me. This is one I will be thinking about for a while…
